To reflect the inherent diversity of both East & West dance forms, RHYTHMAYA School of Dance & Performance Troupe fuses elements from East Indian Folk, Semi-classical, Bollywood, Hip-Hop, Jazz, & Modern dance styles in creating lasting works of art.
As elements of South Asian culture pervade the American mainstream, we seek to engage people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in an interactive Indian dance experience.
Rhythmaya School of Dance offers professional instruction in a variety of traditional and modern East Indian dance styles, while Rhythmaya Dance Company [Performance Troupe] provides a forum for advanced performers to display their exceptional talents before diverse audiences in the Washington, DC area. The troupe’s main mission is to participate in performance with a purpose; therefore, approximately 75% of the troupe’s public performances contribute to charity in some way, shape, or form.
